Carpet originated in the Western Han Dynasty in my country. The prevalence of Buddhism drove the development of the carpet industry. People use wool to hand-knit into small blankets, which are used as kneelings. With the popularity of the carpet industry, carpets, as tributes, can only be owned by royal nobles, and carpets became a popular luxury at that time.
It was not until the end of the 20th century that people realized the value of handmade carpets. In some areas of my country, such as Tibet, Xinjiang, Henan, and Shandong, handmade carpets have only begun to develop slowly. The value of modern Chinese carpets has also been fully affirmed. First of all, hand-woven carpets are not only flexible in production and rich in patterns, which play a role in decorating the room and embellish the environment; secondly, pure wool is a natural fiber, safe and environmentally friendly, and does not produce any harmful substances. In addition, the handmade carpets have complex production processes and exquisite workmanship, which is of great art collection value. Therefore, the pattern style and fine workmanship of modern Chinese carpets fully reflect the value of carpets.
