Among them, the setting of process parameters for tufted carpet includes the height of tufts, the number of tufts, the size and scale of carpet, as well as the setting of various carpet patterns and materials, so as to obtain carpets with different styles and appearances. When drawing the geometric model of pile circle, all pile circles are drawn according to the set number of pile circle rows and columns, which can meet the requirements of carpet size of any size. Texture mapping and material setting enhance the simulation effect by mapping the material texture of yarn to the surface of pile ring. Different from previous studies on tufted carpet simulation, the tufted carpet appearance simulation program is divided into multiple modules according to functions, and the appearance simulation of tufted carpet is realized through the cooperation between modules. For example, the running parameter reading subroutine obtains the current simulation carpet process parameters, including yarn information, yarn arrangement law and pattern data, and transmits them to the geometric model drawing module to complete the construction of the overall carpet simulation model, which improves the readability and maintainability of the program and makes the appearance simulation of tufted carpet more convenient. The simulation results are compared with the real carpet samples, as shown in Figure 11. By running the program, it can be found that the simulation of pile ring deflection deformation has achieved a more real effect, and the comparison results fully show the feasibility of the above three-dimensional simulation scheme of tufted carpet.
