Production process and characteristics of three-tufted carpet
Apr-22-2022

1. Material preparation: Weaving the preheated and shaped propylene fibers into base fabrics and various chemical fiber yarns required for flocking.

2. Planting and shaping, that is, using the needle row machine to plant the chemical fiber yarns on the polypropylene base cloth at high speed, so as to form neat and dense loop piles or cut piles on the surface of the carpet.

3. Scrape synthetic latex or polyester glue on the back of the blanket, and stick the base fabric and flocking into a solid whole.

4. Post-finishing process, including flattening the carpet surface with a shearing machine, printing the carpet surface, pasting a foam backing such as styrene-butadiene rubber or polyurethane or yellow linen backing on the carpet back, steaming the carpet surface and finishing the carpet surface Wait.

Product Features:

Inexpensive, but less variety.

Plush yarns are generally blended yarns such as polyester, nylon and polypropylene, and pure wool yarns are used for high-end products. In the early days, jute woven fabrics were used, mostly polypropylene flat filament woven fabrics, polyester filament woven fabrics or non-woven fabrics.

Using special tufting needles, wool yarn is implanted into the base fabric to form loops, which are cut into plush. The back of the base fabric is coated with resin and rubber (adhesive) to fix the loops or piles, which can prevent the piles from loose and pilling, and can improve the dimensional stability of the blanket. A foam backing can be attached to the back of the glued carpet, or a second layer of fabric, called a secondary backing, can be attached to the back of the carpet to increase the elasticity and durability of the tufted carpet.

The product is mainly used as a pavement for sidewalks and indoor floors.
