With the high speed of the tufting machine spindle system, the unbalanced response and vibration response of the spindle will increase, which in turn affects the quality of the carpet. Therefore, for the general tufting machine spindle system, a balanced shaft scheme was proposed and a new type of spindle system was designed which based on the principle of minimizing the change of structural form. Then, the mathematical model of the spindle system was established by using the transfer matrix method, and Matlab software was used for simulation analysis. The results show that compared to the general tufting machine spindle system, this new spindle system reduces the lateral and longitudinal maximum vibration displacement by at least 40% during high speed operation, and its dynamic balance and damping effect are obvious.
