Configuration Design of Spindle System of New Tufting Machine


The core of the design of the main shaft system of the new tufting machine lies in the innovation of the tufting needle mechanism. The kinematic chain regeneration method [1-5] is a common method for the design of a multi-link mechanism. The kinematic chain of the rod and the rotating pair is designed according to the four basic kinematic chains of the six-bar mechanism, and four schemes are obtained as shown in Table 2. In the obtained configuration, except A2 is the original mechanism, the rest are valid structure.

When the synchronous belt drive, chain drive, gear drive, etc. are selected as power transmission, the mechanism combination method [16] is generally used for configuration design. The movement of the tufting needle mechanism can be simplified as rotation to reciprocating linear motion, which can realize this function. There are many mechanisms, such as crank slider mechanism, push rod cam mechanism, rack and pinion mechanism and screw mechanism, etc., but the above mechanisms are mostly suitable for occasions with small load and short transmission path. The distance from the needle to the needle beam is usually in the Above 600 mm, this kind of long-distance power transmission only has a simple structure with a crank-slider mechanism and is easy to balance, so the crank-slider mechanism is selected as the tufting needle actuator. 4 configurations.

Using the regeneration method and the combination method, the realization scheme that meets the shafting power transmission and motion functions can be obtained. In order to meet the high-speed demand of the tufting machine, the obtained scheme should be designed according to the high-speed design method in Section 1.3. The final plan is shown in Table 4.
