Three-dimensional simulation principle of tufted carpet-2

Taking into account the complexity of the space structure of the tufted carpet, this paper uses the PythonScript module supported by the Rhino software to realize the three-dimensional simulation of the overall appearance of the tufted carpet through the program algorithm. Rhino is a modeling software suitable for the establishment of high-precision complex three-dimensional non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBUS) models. Combined with PythonScript, it can realize the generation of geometric models through algorithms, and can automatically perform a large number of repetitive computing tasks, improving simulation efficiency.

The three-dimensional simulation program of tufted carpet written in PythonScript development environment adopts modular design, which mainly includes carpet process parameter reading, model drawing, texture addition and other parts. Among them, the model drawing program describes the random changes in the spatial position and angle of the carpet loops after being squeezed, reflecting the irregularity of the loop distribution after the carpet is weaving. The addition of pile loop surface texture and illumination makes the carpet appearance simulation more realistic. This paper finally realized the overall appearance simulation of tufted carpets, and provided a feasible three-dimensional simulation program for tufted fabrics.
